Katelyn M. Bianconi

Registered and Licensed Dietitian

A native of Norman, Oklahoma, Katelyn earned her bachelor’s degree from Ouachita Baptist University, just outside of Little Rock, Arkansas, and her master’s degree from Louisiana Tech University. She worked as an ambulatory care dietitian at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, before moving to Knoxville in 2015 and becoming Gastrointestinal Associates’ first full-time registered dietician. Along with GIA 180 Clinical Director Melissa Mahan, Katelyn leads a support group and exercise class for GIA 180 participants twice monthly.

Katelyn is registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and holds licensure as a dietitian with the state of Tennessee. She also is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and serves on the board of the academy’s Knoxville chapter.

In her spare time, Katelyn enjoys running, hiking and reading, as well as spending time with friends and her husband, Jesse Bianconi, a former staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and current University of Tennessee student.
