Amy, born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, graduated from Southern Adventist University School of Nursing in 2003. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Knoxville for four years before pursuing a degree as a family nurse practitioner at East Tennessee State University.
Upon receiving her certification in 2008, she joined Gastrointestinal Associates as its first hospitalist gastroenterology nurse practitioner seeing patients in the hospital setting.
Amy is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association.
In her spare time, Amy enjoys traveling, hiking, and camping with her husband, Geoffrey White, principal and teacher at Knoxville Adventist School.
