Bio

Amy was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She received a Christian education from elementary school through college. She completed her Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees in nursing from Southern Adventist University. She then went on to complete her Master’s degree in nursing from East Tennessee State University and graduated in the fall of 2008.

Before joining Gastrointestinal Associates in December of 2008, she worked as a nurse at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee, for 3 years.

For the first 5 years of her NP career with GIA, she worked as a GI hospitalist at St. Mary’s Medical Center with Dr. Stan Miller.

Amy loves serving others, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering her time at her local Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She is happily married with two children and one very spoiled Australian Shepherd.
